Project Overview
To promote Microsoft's personal assistant software Cortana, the PR stunt took place on a barge on the river and involved MacAskill riding a five-metre, loop-the-loop structure with the Cortana signature illuminated in front of the London Eye.
Blending Technology
In order to have the London eye as the backdrop, this project required the positioning of the loop to be halfway between the north and the south bank of the Thames. The complexity of filming the stunt, whilst ensuring the safety of the rider, the technical crew and the 200 guests whilst still keeping the barge positioned for the shot on tidal waters made this a technically challenging but satisfying project to complete.
